Privacy Policy
madang (www.koreamadang.com) processes as little personal data as possible. This policy explains, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), what is processed and why.

2. When you visit the site
madang has no accounts or logins, and no forms where visitors enter their name or contact details.
The site is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver pages and block attacks, Cloudflare processes connection data such as your IP address, the requested address and browser information. This data may be processed outside the EU (for example in the US) under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the site securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Maps (Google Maps)
We use Google Maps by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC to show where businesses are. On category pages (desktop) the map appears right away; on business pages and on phones it loads when you tap “Show map”.
When the map loads, your IP address and similar data are sent to Google, and Google may use cookies. See Google’s privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy) for details.
Directions is only a link that contains the business’s coordinates. madang does not read or store your current location. The button opens Google Maps, and Google then asks your device separately whether it may use your location.
4. Cookies
madang itself sets no cookies and currently uses no analytics or advertising trackers. External services such as Google Maps (above) may use cookies.
If we add advertising or visitor statistics in the future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
5. External links
When you follow a link to Google Maps (directions, reviews), WhatsApp or a business’s own website, that service’s privacy policy applies.
6. When you contact us
If you contact us by email or WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Limited), we process your name, contact details and message to reply. We delete them once your request is handled unless the law requires us to keep them. The legal basis is answering your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
7. Business listings
The business details shown on madang (name, address, opening hours, photos and so on) are public business information. Business owners can ask us to correct or remove their listing at any time.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Please write to the email address above.
You can also complain to the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP, www.dataprotection.ro) or the authority in your country.
9. Changes
We update this policy when the service changes and show the date of the last update on this page.
