A note from the founder
‘Madang’ is the yard at the center of a traditional Korean house, an open place where neighbors gathered to ask after one another and share what mattered. Our platform, madang, set out from the wish to be that kind of open yard, where Korean communities in Europe and Europeans who love Korea can gather freely, share the information they need, and make new opportunities.
A wave of K-culture is sweeping across Europe, and yet, amid the indiscriminate commercial consumption of ‘K’, the work that local Koreans have built over a long time can be buried. Properly making known K-business and culture that Europeans who love Korea can trust is how we protect the value and the pride of our real ‘K’.
